MVM Mátra Energia Zrt. supports several non-governmental organizations in the framework of its corporate social responsibility program.

Since its establishment, it has been a permanent supporter of the Mátra Power Plant Foundation for our Children, the aim of which is to provide financial support to the studying, as well as to the socially deprived minor or mentally handicapped not studying children of the deceased Mátra Power Plant staff members working for the company until their death. The supported children receive regular monthly allocation and the foundation provides schooling allowance in September and a one-time Christmas allowance in December. In 2020, the foundation contributed to the studies of 23 children.

The company traditionally provides the Brass Orchestra of the Foundation for Miner Culture with financial support, the aim of which is to keep the music closely connected to the mining traditions in the repertoire and to the promotion of traditions to young people.

To this end, the orchestra regularly participates in the cultural events of Visonta, Bükkábrány, Gyöngyös and the surrounding settlements, and is an indispensable participant in the celebrations of the Mátra Power Plant.

Mátra Power Plant has its own sports association, the primary goal of which is to provide regular sports and active leisure activities for the employees and their family members in an organized way.
